FRENCH:
-Texts: Variety of Texts used to support vocabulary, language, and grammar development including but
not limited to On y va 1, S&S Learning Units and New Testament. Emphasis placed on proper oral
pronunciation, listening to live and recorded voices (videos and music), giving oral presentations,
asking and answering questions in French, appreciation for French culture and food, reading
comprehension and basic skills related to the conventions of writing. Particular emphasis on verbs être,
avoir, faire, aller, pouvoir, partir, and regular er, ir, and re verbs au présent de l’indicative;
singing in French
PHYSICAL EDUCATION:
-emphasis was placed on development of team oriented skills and personal good sportsmanship;
sports included cross country racing, soccer, rugby, track and field, ultimate friz-bee,
students participated in South-Western Ontario competition with CAASO: Soccer, Cross Country
Running Meet, Track and Field, Slow Pitch
DRAMA:
-students perform one major dramatic events in a year: Christmas Program; musical: Esther
ART:
-Abstracts using pencil crayons—emphasis on quality of colouring, balance, and original design;
orthographic projections and isometric drawing; 1, 2, and 3 point perspective drawing,
construction geometry; body proportions – stick people
