Cindy graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours degree in Human Kinetics, she then spent time developing an outreach program for teenage mothers, while working at Kingston Youth for Christ. She completed her Bachelor of Education at Queen’s University with specialization in Science and Physical Education. After teaching for many years at Elora Road Christian School, she was asked to step into an administrative Vice-Principal role. Her experience serving on the CAASO (Christian Athletic Association of Southern Ontario) executive and acting as Vice-Principal have well equipped her for the role of Principal. She enjoys working students of all ages and helping them to reach their full God-given potential.

Annette was raised in Elora and has spent many years working with preschool children. She graduated from Conestogo College with a diploma in Early Childhood Education, and then worked at Parkview Daycare in Guelph. After the birth of her third child Annette opened her own home daycare, where she worked for may years nurturing and teaching young children. Annette joined the ERCS staff in 2014 as a Kindergarten teacher. She is very creative and loves to bring music and art into her classroom. She enjoys listening to the children share their thoughts and ideas and seeing God’s world through their eyes.

Thea de Villiers
– Grade 3 & 4 Teacher
Thea was born and raised in South Africa where she attended Teacher’s College and obtained her elementary teacher certification. She worked for many years teaching primary students in South Africa as well as fulfilling the role of department head. Teaching is her passion, and she will always go the extra mile to ensure the success of the students in her care. Thea moved to Guelph in 2001 with her husband and son and began teaching at ERCS in September 2012.

Michelle grew up in a Pastor’s family and has lived in many different communities in Ontario. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in English and Music at the University of Western Ontario and her Bachelor of Education at Queen’s University, in Kingston. She then spent time teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) in Seoul, South Korea and in Istanbul, Turkey. Michelle loves to learn new things and is excited to add French to her teaching repertoire.
– Grades 5 & 6 Teacher / Resource Teacher
Sheri teaches our Grade 5/6 students in the afternoons and works with our Special Education students three mornings a week. She graduated from Nipissing University with her Bachelor of Education. After completing her Special Education Specialist courses, she went on to obtain her Masters degree in Special Education. Outside of school, Sheri works as an Educational Therapist effectively assessing the needs of students who are struggling academically and providing them with tools to help them succeed at school. Sheri has many years of experience teaching different subjects across multiple grade levels and acting as an in-school Resource Teacher.

Pam grew up in Texas and attended the University of Texas where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She married a Canadian and moved to Canada in 1985. She has two grown daughters and 4 grandchildren. Pam has been teaching for many years. The majority of those years have been in the private Christian school setting at the Grade 7 & 8 level. She has a passion for mathematics, but enjoys all aspects of teaching. She highly values Christian education and the importance of finding God in all aspects of learning. She spends much of her free time ministering with her husband to the marginalized and disenfranchised people in our communities.

Rebecca has been working as an Educational Assistant since 2012. Since then, she's had the privilege of working in a variety of class settings, with children up to the Grade 8 level. She loves the reward of supporting a struggling student and watching as they begin to flourish academically, emotionally and/or socially. Being a part of the team that produces success is both humbling and exhilarating! Rebecca infuses her faith and her relationship with the Lord into every aspect of her work. Watching what the Lord does in answer to prayer over her students is especially exciting!
Janet spent many years teaching English and Drama at High Schools in the Wellington District Catholic Board. After retiring, she missed being in the classroom and began supply teaching and working as an Educational Assistant at local Christian Schools. Janet enjoys working with younger students and encouraging those that are struggling. Outside of school Janet plays an active role in the Audience of One drama productions. She has also found an outlet for her love of drama in the drama classes that she teaches at ERCS.
Paula completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Waterloo and later went on to become a Certified Human Resources Leader. She has many years of experience working in Human Resources at a medium sized company. After spending time at home raising her three children, Paula is happy to return to an administrative role and enjoys applying all that she has learned to her job at ERCS. Paula’s love for God is evident in all that she does and she works diligently to make sure that everyone feels welcome at ERCS.
