Part-Time Program for Homeschool Students

Partnering with Homeschool Families for a Well-Rounded Education

Our Homeschool Partnership Program

At Elora Road Christian School, we are excited to partner with homeschool families to support and enhance their children’s education. Our part-time program is designed to provide homeschool students with opportunities for social interaction, specialized instruction, and access to our enriching academic and extracurricular activities. By working together, we aim to offer a well-rounded education that complements the homeschooling experience and helps students thrive both academically and personally.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

  • ERCS has three 1.5-hour teaching blocks per day, for a total of 15 teaching blocks per week.

  • Part-time students can select as many teaching blocks as they would like to attend.

  • The schedule for each class will be made available so that students and parents can choose the blocks that work best for them.

  • Students can also attend 1 break/recess time either before or after their selected block.

  • Students attending Block 1 or Block 3 may also attend the Morning Meeting and/or Closing Circle.

  • The cost for each teaching block is $25 per child, per day.

  • Parents are required to commit to a minimum of 6 weeks of participation.

  • A minimum of 4 weeks’ worth of payment, plus the $50 registration fee, MUST be received before part-time students can attend class.

  • Blocks can be changed at the end of each term, but cannot be changed or added in the middle of the term unless permission is granted by the principal.

  • No formal grades or assessments will be provided for the classes attended, but students will receive help during class time from the teacher to complete assignments, and some assignments may be marked.

  • If workbooks are required for the block selected, parents will be required to purchase these workbooks for their children. Students will also be expected to bring their own standard school supplies, pencils, pens, markers etc.

  • Any photocopies or temporary required supplies will be provided by the school.

  • Part-time students are not required to wear school uniforms.

  • Field trips:

    • Part-time student fees DO NOT cover the cost of field trips.

    • If a field falls on the day when a part-time student is at school then the student is welcome to attend but will need to pay the additional fees.

    • If a field trip is on another day, the part-time student may be invited if there is room, however, this field trip day will replace their usual part-time day OR a parent will need to attend with their child and also pay admission fees.

    • If a family DOES NOT wish to pay the field trip fees they may opt to have their child attend on an alternate day.
